Not always — but often enough to make you dread it. Posting jobs. Getting ghosted. Wasting hours on interviews that go nowhere. Then hiring someone who looks great on paper but checks out three weeks in.

Here’s what I realized after years of burning time and patience trying to “do it myself” — recruiting isn’t something you dabble in. It’s a craft. And unless you live and breathe it, you’re gambling with one of your most expensive decisions.
So one day, after my fifth no-show interview in a single week, I said screw it — and hired a recruiter.

We didn’t just fill a seat — we thought about who we needed six months from now. That shift in thinking made me realize how reactive I’d been. Now, we plan.
💡 Real Talk:
If you’re still hiring solo — I get it. You think you’re saving money. You think “No one knows my company like I do.” Fair. But you know what else is true?

I used to think recruiters were a “luxury.” Now I see they’re leverage.
